Welcome 2021 and Reflecting Back On 2020  For all of us, 2020 will be an unforgettable year. This year, COVID happened. The virus originated in Wuhan and, (somehow) made its way to the whole world. We all wore masks to survive. I, for one, stayed home for at least six months. Today is the 3rd of January, 2021 and I am very happy because of the new year. This is because, as it is rightly quoted, " The New Year stands before us, like a chapter waiting to be written." and also because it brings new hope to the world. People are hoping that COVID will finally end in 2021 so that it will be a better year. With all the good news surrounding 2021, including the new vaccines, it really brings joy and hope to the world. In self isolation, all we could do was stay at our homes and hope that COVID ends. We felt like we had no purpose. But then when people started working from home, they felt that they were doing something, not just sitting at home and hoping for the best. They made a di

How to learn coding?

              How to learn coding?

Coding, also called programming is a very interesting hobby which anyone can learn if he has the zeal to learn it. There are various courses out there but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will have to learn online. If you haven't ever heard of coding or have heard of it but don't know about it, coding is the process of conveying messages to the computer to follow instructions we give. Coding comprises of different types of languages that have different syntax (rules), difficulty, and uses. Some of the languages you may have heard of are Python, JavaScript and C. When I was young, I always wondered where mobile applications came from. Then, I learnt last year that they were made with coding. But I did not know the meaning of the word coding. A month or two ago, I came across a programming course on https://www.edx.org  by Harvard. It required no prior programming experience, so I thought that there was no harm in trying it out. I started the course and found it fairly easy. My main reason for trying out programming languages was because I wanted to create a game. I had my own idea for a game. But as I went through the course my main interest was towards application development. So I am doing another course by Harvard which teaches React Native, a platform which allows developers to create an app for both iOS and Android platforms. It is quite an interesting course which teaches JavaScript and JSX(An XML(another coding language)-like extension of JavaScript). In the end you will be able to create an app of your own. Of course, there are other ways to create an app like native iOS creation and native Android creation. But these have certain requirements such as native iOS development requires you to have a Mac. You also can learn coding whenever you want. Once you learn it, you will be hooked up to it. You will be creating your own websites, apps and games which will impress the world.
